I think my recent story of painting started with this project. This is a four piece pencil drawing on paper, two frames per A3 sheet of paper. This is about sharing the fire within. I used myself as a reference for this, so this is kind of a self portrait as well. Before I did a few tries creating a comic based on a true story and I am a big fan of graphic novels that are focused on personal experiences or telling a story in the language of pictures. So obviously it was making a lot of sense for me to start something that felt like a new career or a new chapter of my life with a familiar subject.
